What we do
At Ebor Vale Riding Club we are committed to helping horses, ponies and riders alike.
- We hold various events throughout the year mainly at our club field during Spring, Summer and Autumn.
- We host showjumping, dressage competitions and also flatwork and jumping training sessions etc., on evenings and weekends, weather permitting.
- We also provide indoor training and competitions during the winter months.
- We send teams (and individuals) to compete in various disciplines against the other British Riding Club affiliated clubs in our Area and (hopefully) qualify for the Championship competitions too.
Most of all we just have fun being with horses!
History of the Club
Ebor Vale Riding Club was formed in the late 1970’s and we have used various fields in the past for our shows but always around the A1079 Wilberfoss, York area. We moved to a new club field near Everingham in 2009. It has good sandy soil, is very flat and has a nice large area of grass suitable for competing!
There is plenty of parking space at the field and you will be directed to a convenient location when you arrive. We have a full set of show jumps and working hunter style fences as well as boards for two 20 x 40 dressage arenas. We have a clubhouse which is located near the main entrance to the field where you enter classes, get your number and get refreshments (tea, coffee, squash and home made cakes etc,). Toilet facilities are also available on site.
