What we do
At Ebor Vale Riding Club we are committed to helping horses, ponies and riders alike.
- We hold various training sessions throughout the year at local equestrian centres and arena hires. Show jumping, dressage, Working Equitation, flat work, How to ride a dressage test and dressage to music test to name a few.
- Social events are organised throughout the year, to allow our members to meet fellow members. Christmas party, Quiz night, table top/security marking, line dancing to name a few from 2025.
- We hold competitions through out the year in dressage, show jumping and showing.
- We send teams (and individuals) to compete in various disciplines against the other British Riding Club affiliated clubs in our Area and often qualify for the Championship competitions too.
Most of all we just have fun being with horses!
History of the Club
Ebor Vale Riding Club was formed in the late 1970’s and we have used various fields in the past for our shows around the York area. We are focused on hiring arenas currently with training and competitions planned at Thornton House, Askham Bryan, Port Royal and other local venues.
The committee are determined to offer something for everyone with a wide range of riding and social activities planned each year. We welcome any help and suggestions with what we can offer our members and would love members to be involved so please reach out to us with ideas. Afterall, it’s your club and we can only organise things that interest you if you let us know.
