News from EVRC
I hope you are all well and are enjoying the summer sun, rain and gales!!!! The British weather never ceases to surprise us and keep us on our toes.
Slowly and cautiously we are gradually getting back into the swing of training and competing both at club and Area 4. Everyone is conscious of being safe and ensuring we take sensible precautions against Covid 19. I fear that we will have to live with this virus for some time unfortunately.
The club are taking as many precautions as we can:
- Making sure we social distance
- Having hand sanitizer available
- Asking members and visitors not to enter the club house
- Parking, leaving ample distance between vehicles
- Having no more than 6 horses in the warm up area.
Training at the club field has been very popular as always. Amanda Snowdon, Sue Joy, Jane Blades and Adele Mason have delivered flat and pole sessions which have been educational, challenging but most importantly enjoyable. It’s so good to see members enjoying themselves at the club field.

Dressage show 6th August
Our second dressage show was held on a Thursday, the weather was kind to us again and we had some super combinations. A few youngsters who were experiencing their first attempt at dressage and some experienced combinations trying their hand at a higher level of competition. Covid guidelines have been a challenge but members have been mindful of parking and social distancing at the field.
A huge thanks must go to Andrea Brett, our judge on the night and her daughter Becky who was writer.
Thanks also go to Amy and Lucy Jordan along with Sheila Kuehule and Chris Shepherd who were covering scoring, stewarding, collecting sheets and reading tests. Without these kind offers of help these shows would not run!!!
