Welcome to Ebor Vale Riding Club Website! We are affiliated to the BHS riding clubs and regularly compete in the Area competitions throughout the year! LATEST NEWS.... The Dressage Show on Saturday 10th July 2010 had another good turnout despite the hot and humid conditions! Thanks go to all the judges, Chris Freear, Andrea Peel, Naomi Ainley and Helen Coxall who's baby daughter is just six weeks old!! Also a big thank you goes to all the helpers, we just couldnt run it without you!!See Results ... We had a fantastic day at our Dressage Show with Yorvik Qualifier on Sunday 13th June 2010. We had a good turnout and the rain held off just long enough for everyone. Sophie Blades riding Peewit won the qualifier for the Yorvik Series so she will go through to the regional semi final held at the Riding Club Area 4 show in July and Chris Frear riding Sargeant Man came second. A great big thankyou to all those who supported us we made over £300.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support/Ebor Vale Riding for the Disabled/EVRC ! A special thankyou to the lovely Macmillan ladies who came and helped on the day!
P.S... Training sessions are held once a fortnight and we have only had to cancel one session due to the weather so far. The going is excellent and we normally have two trainers (one to do jumping and the other flatwork) so please give Sally a call if you are interested? at our club field The Oaks, Hayton Lane, Everingham. Area 4 RESULTS...
Area 4 Horse Trials Qualifier news... Well done to our Novice Senior Team of Rachel Newton on Premier Ambitions, Kate Startin on Hotspurs Smooth Operator and David Fielding on Nimo who competed at the Area 4 Horse Trials Qualifier held at Richmond Equestrian Centre on Monday 31st May 2010. Also a big thank you to all the helpers at this event! We would not be able to compete without you!! Area 4 NAF Festival of the Horse Qualifier News... We sent two individual competitors to take part in the Senior Novice section of this Showcross Event. Rachel Newton riding Premier Ambition came 17th well done! But unfortunately Emma Darley on Tomorrows Dancer were eliminated in the Showjumping for missing out the last fence so couldnt go crosscountry! Bad luck Emma! Area 4 Winter Team Showjumping Competition on Sunday Feb 21st 2010. We sent one team to the Area 4 Showjumping qualifier at Bishop Burton College on Sunday Feb 2010. Our team consisting of Adele Snowball, Vicky Tasker, Marie Metcalfe and Rachel Newton all did really well and we ended up 7th overall! Not bad for there were over thirty teams present! Also many thanks go to all the helpers and grooms who gave up their weekend to help run the event! AREA 4 Winter Team Dressage Competition on Sunday 22nd November 2009
We sent 3 Teams off to Richmond
Equestrian Centre for the British Riding Club Area 4 Qualifier at the
weekend and Team A (consisting of Vicky Tasker, Rachel Newton, Sally Wilkinson
& Kate Startin pictured overleaf left to right) came 3rd overall in the
Competition out of a total of 27 teams. (Team C came 14th and Team B
21st). Well done to all!
AREA 4 Dressage on Saturday 18th July at Richmond. We had a good day and all of our teams and individuals did well! Vicky Tasker on Triple Jay came 1st in P13 test and Harriet Morris-Baumber on Sultao De Valada came 2nd in E48 test individually, therefore both qualified for the championships! Well done Vicky and Harriet and to all who represented the club! AREA 4 Showjumping on Sunday 19th July at Richmond. All our members did well on the Sunday as well! We had teams in the Style Jumping and Junior and Senior Novice Showjumping teams. The Junior team came second and the Senior Team finished 7th overall! Well done to all our competitors and helpers for making the effort in going to Richmond and representing our club at Area, especially those who had to get up in the early hours to be there on time! PS. I apologise if I have got any of the results wrong, getting results from Area competitions is like getting blood from a stone!!! See Results! and four individual competitors to the Riding Clubs Area 4 Horse Trials
competition held on Sunday 21st June 2009 at Bishop Burton College. Junior Sophie Blades had a
brilliant day and came 1st in both the Novice and Intermediate class on her two
ponies. Well done to all the
competitors and to all the helpers, especially Emma and Fiona who were only
supposed to help for 1/2 a day and ended up doing all day!!! .. AREA 4 Hunter Trials at Epworth Equestrian on Sunday 12th April 2009. We entered 1 Senior Novice Team consisting of Liz Crosby, Lisa Kirby, Sally Wilkinson and Rachael Newton. 1 Senior Open Individual Sarah Wilkinson and 2 Juniors Sophie Blades and Louise Gillett. This was the first year for a new format of a Showjumping round then crosscountry (Showcross)! There were mixed results and the novice team did not get placed but Sophie Blades was placed 4th.. Well done to all riders and many thanks to the helpers with which we would not be able to compete! Well done to you all! Lisaxx |
