History of the Club Ebor Vale Riding Club was formed in the late 1970's and we have used various fields in the past for our shows but always around the A1079 Wilberfoss, York area. We now use a field on the A1079 behind the Steer Inn (near Wilberfoss) and have done so for several years. It has good sandy soil and has proved to be very reliable in all weathers! There is always plenty of parking space at the field and you will normally be directed to a space at the top end of the field when you arrive. We have a full set of showjumps and working hunter style fences as well as boards for two 20 x 40 dressage arenas. Members can also use the field for practice when there is not a show on. The clubhouse is a portable building located near the main entrance to the field and is where you enter classes, get your number and you can obtain refreshments (tea, coffee, squash and home made cakes etc,). Directions for getting to our club field are: From York take the A1079 to Hull for approximately 10 miles. Turn right just before the Steer Inn Pub, then take the first left towards the Steer Inn, the track to the Club Field is on the right immediately before you reach the Pub.
